　　Chicony Power Technology Co., Ltd. (6412.TW) today announced its consolidated financial results for the second quarter of 2023. Consolidated revenues in 2Q23 was NT$9,270 million, down 9.7% YoY but up by 11.8% QoQ. Thanks to favorable product mix and foreign exchange rates, the company’s gross margin grew 3.5ppt YoY to 20.3%. Operating margin improved 1.7ppt from the year-ago quarter to 9.6%, while net margin improved 1ppt YoY to 8.5%. Despite of a decrease in sales, the company’s gross profit came up 9.2% YoY to NT$1,882million, while operating profit rose 10.2% YoY to NT$893mn. With lower non-operating profits compared to one year ago, net profits for the quarter reached NT$790 million, up 2.3% YoY, with basic EPS of NT$1.98, up 1.5% YoY. Net net, despite of the challenges of macroeconomic uncertainties, the company post a strong 2Q result and reported record-breaking gross profit, operating profit, net profit, gross margin, operating margin, net margin, and EPS for the same period.

　　For the first half of 2023, the company’s accumulated consolidated revenues revenue was NT$17,562 million, down by 15.4% YoY. Gross margin reached 19.5%, up 2.8ppt. Operating margin improved to 9.2%, up 0.9ppt YoY, while net margin improved to 7.8%, up 0.4ppt YoY. Gross profit and operating profit were NT$3,430 million and NT$1,619 million, down by 1.0% and 5.8% YoY, respectively. Net profits was NT$1,371million, down by 10.3% YoY, with Basic EPS of NT$3.45, down 11.1% YoY.

　　Chicony Power also announced its unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$3,050 million, down by 13.7% YoY, for July 2023. For the first seven months, accumulated revenues totaled NT$20,612 million, down by 15.2% YoY.
